Give Aliana King’s Curl Care Routine A Try
Washes:
Aliana washes her curls only once a week. She finds that the less you wash your curls, the healthier they are. If you’re looking for a great cleanser, consider Ouidad Nourishing and Cleansing Oil. It cleans your scalp and removes buildup without damaging your strands.
Conditioner:
Using a good conditioner is critical for taking care of your curls, however, you don’t need to spend a bundle on your hair. After you’ve cleansed your curls, slather your strands with Tresemme conditioner. This conditioner creates great slip, but is super cost effective. Use a wide toothed comb, and work your way through the tangles. Twist your strands into two separate twists, and secure before getting out of the shower.
Styling:
Aliana says she “find[s] hair products work best on work best on wet hair.” Therefore, after leaving the shower she doesn’t dry her curls. She divides her curls into even sections from the top of her head to the bottom, and applies SheaMoisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie by raking it through her strands. She makes sure to apply it from roots to tip. She finds that this product is so effective for her curl type, it’s the only one she uses.
Drying:
When she has time, Aliana allows her curls to air dry. However, that can take an entire day. When she doesn’t have the time to wait, she opts to use DevaCurl’s diffuser. This hand shaped diffuser gently cups curls to dry them evenly, cradling them like your hand would. After her curls are completely dry, separate your curls, and pick out the roots.
