Frizz can be a really irritating thing to deal with. However, there are plenty of ways to manage it without chemical treatments or an excessive amount of product. If you don’t want any frizz in your curls, you can try these tips. Here’s how to go about eliminating frizz in curls naturally. Once you try these tips, you’re sure to love your frizz free curls.
Eliminating Frizz In Curls Naturally
Almond and egg:
This DIY remedy can help soothe irritating frizz. Combine one large, raw egg, and 1/4 cup almond oil and blend until smooth. Section your curls and apply throughout the length. Allow to sit for 40 minutes, and then wash away with warm water and gentle cleansing shampoo. Follow with your favorite conditioner.
Avocado mask:
These green fruits aren’t just for your toast. Avocado can prove to be very useful when it comes to helping to minimize frizz. Combine 1 large avocado, pitted and mashed with 1 cup natural yogurt. Blend until smooth, and apply to freshly washed curls. Allow to sit under a cover, and apply heat if desired for up to 60 minutes. Rinse, and condition as normal. The healthy fats will strengthen your curls, and minimize frizz.
Mayonnaise:
Take 1/4 cup of mayo, 1/3 cup almond oil, and 2 eggs (you’ll only need one if your curls are short) and blend together. Once you’ve created a smooth mask, you can apply it to the length of your damp or washed curls. Make sure to massage into your scalp, and cover your curls with a warm towel. After 30 minutes, remove and shampoo. Follow with a conditioner. Curls will be left shiny, healthy, and smoother.
Beer:
This is a unique but really easy one. Take 1 pint of your favorite beer and pour into a bowl. Leave out overnight so the beer will go flat. In the morning, shampoo your curls with your favorite shampoo and then pour the beer throughout your strands. Massage into your scalp and rinse with cool water. Condition as needed. The beer offers a quick boost of protein, as well as vitamin B. This will restore strength to damaged or overly dry curls.
