Are you feeling as though your summer hair styles are getting a little boring? Are you over it with the same ponytails and braids day in and day out? If so, it’s time to think about updating your look. Here are summer styles to try immediately. Give these easy to accomplish looks a try, and update your look for the summer.
_Side braid with low bun:
_This look is exactly as it sounds. Take your second or third day curls, and refresh your strands with leave in conditioner, or a curl refreshing spray. Create a large side braid, and pull your curls back into a low bun at the nape of your neck. Secure with a scrunchie, hair tie, or even a scarf for a jaunty look. You can then pull down some soft curls to frame your face, or leave them all pulled back for a more polished look.
Half up, half down with braid:
Sometimes during the hotter days of summer, you want your curls off your face, but you also don’t want to fully commit to a hairstyle, and that’s ok. Instead, opt for a half up, half down look. You can amplify this look and take it to the next level by braiding the hair hanging down. You can add a pretty hair tie or ribbon to punch up the look.
Low ponytail:
One of the best, tried and true looks is a ponytail. Even though we often utilize it, there are ways to make it look fresh and seasonably chic. For example, try allowing your curls to soften into looser waves, and then pulling it back gently into a low ponytail. Tie it loosely, so your hair isn’t slicked back too tightly from your face, and touch up the ponytail to bring your curls out as needed. Then, add a scarf, barrette, or scrunchie to pump up your look.
