Step One:
If you’re working with second or third day curls, begin by refreshing your strands. Flip your curls upside down, and fluff your curls at your roots. This will create volume. Once your curls are lifted, flip your hair over to one side of your head, either left or right. You need to create a deep part.
Step Two:
Gather the hair, and create three even sections. Begin braiding your curls until you’ve created a loose braid, and secure the ends. Loosen the braid, and smooth over the curls on the top of your head. You can also fluff up your crown if you need to create more volume.
Step Three:
Begin twisting the braid back into itself. Use bobby pins as necessary to hold the bun in place as you’re twisting it. At the end of the twist, you should have a large, braided knot on the side of your head. Secure in place, and spray with hairspray to help hold the style in place.
Step Four:
Finish your look by gently fluffing the hair at the crown of your head. Adjust your bun as necessary, and utilize more bobby pins as necessary. You can also opt to pull out some tendrils to frame your face to create a softer look. Feel free to dress this look up with headbands, hair clips, or even some flowers for a chic, boho look.
