What To Make If Flaxseed Gel Isn’t For You

Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons of moisturizing conditioner
  • 12 tablespoons fresh aloe vera gel
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon carrier oil, such as almond or jojoba
  • 2 teaspoons agave nectar
  • 10 drops essential oils, such as rosemary, or lavender
What the ingredients do:

The ingredients in this gel all have a specific purpose. This conditioner adds moisture, as well as forms the base. Aloe vera helps seal in moisture, as well as creates the hold and cast for the product.  The cinnamon helps minimize curl fall, and smells great! The agave nector adds light hold, enhancing the aloe vera. Finally, the essential oils perform a variety of functions, so you can customize your product further by adding which essential oil you need.

What to do:

This gel is super easy to create, so don’t worry if you’ve never made your own product before. Place all of the ingredients into a bowl, and mix until completely smooth. This will create a gel like substance. It won’t be as thick as a gel, but will be slightly thicker than your usual styling cream.

Store in a resealable jar, and keep in a cool, dry place. The gel might need to be mixed up again before using it. Apply throughout freshly washed curls in conjunction with your usual curl care products, and enjoy easy to style strands!
