Rose water:
Not only does it have a delicious smell, rose water has tons of benefits. Adding a capful of rose water to your shampoo can help combat dryness, itchy scalp, as well as adding shine. Your curls will also be encouraged to grow.
Lemon juice:
Do you feel as though your curls are lacking shine or luster? If so, you might want to consider adding freshly squeezed lemon juice into your shampoo. Lemon juice will help remove product build up, and allow curls to spring back. It has natural antifungal and antibacterial properties to help combat dandruff.
Honey:
If you’re constantly battling dry scalp or dull curls, honey might be just what you need to revive your lifeless curls. Fortunately, honey is pretty easy to come by and most people already have it in their cupboards. Add 1-2 tablespoons of honey to your shampoo and give it a shake! Make sure you shake the bottle before each use to combine the products again.
Essential oils:
Different essential oils have different properties, so you might need to experiment to find which work best for you. Some great choices include, tea tree, peppermint oil, chamomile, and lavender oils. Peppermint and tea tree will invigorate your scalp, helping your curls grow back in healthily. Chamomile and lavender can help sooth a dry, irritated scalp. Not to mention these all have amazing smells.
Aloe vera:
This ingredients is great for more than just sunburns! It also works to soothe and protect curls. It helps protect strands from damage, encourages curl growth, and minimizes itch.
