Perfect DIY Masks For Curly Hair
Banana honey:
1 ripe banana, 5 teaspoons of raw, organic honey, and 1/2 cup of sabudana starch.
To make the starch, take the sabudana and boil it in 2 cups of water. Keep stirring to keep the sabudana from sticking to the bottom of the pan. When the mixture is thick, use a cheesecloth to strain it. Combine all the ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.
Apply throughout freshly washed curls, cover, and apply heat. Allow the mask to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing out with cool water. Style as usual and enjoy your soft, frizz free curls!
Castor oil and coconut oil:
1 egg, 5 teaspoons of coconut oil, 3 tablespoons of castor oil, and 5 teaspoons of honey.
This mask is perfect for when your curls need an infusion of protein. Combine all the ingredients and mix until completely smooth. Apply throughout your hair, and allow it to sit for an hour. Add more honey if you notice the mask has gotten stiff. Wash out with shampoo, and apply a conditioner after. You can also add in essential oils as necessary.
Yogurt and honey:
1 cup of plain yogurt, 3 tablespoons of raw, organic honey, and 3 teaspoons of coconut oil.
Melt the coconut oil and then add in the yogurt. Blend until smooth, and add in the honey. Continue mixing until all the ingredients are completely incorporated. Apply the mask throughout freshly washed curls, and allow it to sit. You can cover and apply heat if you’d like. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes, and then rinse out with cool water.
