How To Use Aloe Vera For Gorgeous Curls
For curl growth:
To get longer, healthier curls, give this mask a whirl. In a bowel, combine 4 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel and 1 large egg. Mix together until smooth, then add in 1 tablespoon of castor oil. Wash curls and apply the product to completely wet strands. Massage into the scalp. The castor oil will encourage blood flow, while the aloe vera will moisturize new strands.
For dandruff or dryness:
Is there anything more irritating than dry or itchy scalps? No one likes white flakes on their black tops. To defeat dandruff, try this dandruff busting mask. Mix together 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or juice, 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil, and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Apply directly to a freshly washed scalp. Do this by working in slow, circular motions with your fingertips. This will break up any lingering dandruff, and the lemon juice will help kill fungus.
To deep condition:
Dry curls can quickly become broken or frizzy curls. To keep curls well hydrated, aloe vera can be the answer. Make this lush deep conditioning treatment right at home. Mix together 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt, and 3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or juice. Add in 2 tablespoons of raw honey. You can also add in lavender or chamomile essential oils for their soothing properties. Use this treatment following a shampoo and allow to sit for a minimum of 30 minutes.
