For dry curls:
Mix one cup of whole milk and 2 tablespoons of raw honey. Once combined, apply throughout wet curls and allow to sit for 30 minutes before rinsing away with cool water. The protein in the milk will infuse damaged strands, while the honey will lock in moisture and smooth down cuticles.
For damaged curls:
While there is no magic fix for damaged strands other than a good haircut, damage can be managed. To help do damage control, mix together 4 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. You might need to warm these ingredients up a bit to get the oil to melt and stay liquid enough to use. Apply to freshly washed curls from midshaft down, paying close attention to the damaged ends. Cover and allow to sit for 60 minutes before rinsing out.
Frizzy curls:
Trying to keep frizz under control can be really difficult. As a result, mixing up this easy 2 ingredient mask can help. Take 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt (more if you have longer hair), and 1/4 cup raw, organic honey. Combine, and apply throughout strands. Pay close attention to the frizzy areas. Cover and allow to sit for an hour before washing out with warm water and a gentle cleansing shampoo.
